So what if you are worried or anxious? It just means you are paying attention.
The problem isn’t the feelings…the feelings are normal. They are not to be denied or suppressed. Worry and anxiety keeps us awake, paying attention in troubled times. The problem is what we allow the feelings to do to us.
In the movie “The Water Boy” the main character Bobby Boucher used taunts and anger as “tackling fuel” to be a better football player. We can do something similar. Worry can be transformed into ‘tackling fuel’ for the problem at hand.
